Uniform
This is about community, not uniformity. We believe that a uniform ensures equality and promotes unity. It is also practical and eliminates any potential anxiety children (or parents) may experience regarding what to wear each morning. They should wear the uniform that they feel most comfortable in.
Parents and children should be prepared for stains and mess. These are often merely a sign of joy in learning!
We strongly discourage the wearing of any expensive fashion clothing or accessories as we cannot take responsibility for loss or damage to such items.
The Uniform
• Royal blue jumper or cardigan
• Royal blue hoodie (available from the online shop, but not compulsory)
• FLS Tie (available from the online shop, but not compulsory)
• Grey trousers or grey shorts. These can be any grey material i.e. more formal trousers, leggings or jogging bottoms.
• Grey skirt or grey pinafore
• Royal blue and white gingham dress
• White shirt or polo shirt (long-sleeved or short-sleeved)
• White or Royal blue branded T-Shirt (available from the online shop)
• White, grey or black socks or grey woollen tights
• Comfortable black, navy blue or dark grey shoes – these can either be leather shoes or smart trainers
• Indoor slippers. – please ensure these have a thick rubber/anti-slip sole to prevent slipping and because, in the event of an emergency evacuation, children will be required to wear them outside regardless of the weather.
Crocs or similar style are popular and practical - we have found that many children find them comfortable as they aren’t restrictive and allow good air circulation. However, the priority is to provide indoor footwear that they are happy to wear. Please reinforce with your children the importance of wearing their indoor shoes onsite and work together when purchasing to ensure they are footwear your child will feel comfortable wearing.
Branded uniform
We feel it is important to maintain the same sense of community identity created since our core model was established and so, for those attending stand-alone facilitated session, it is requested that your child attends in a branded t-shirt should they not wish to wear full uniform (as per the requirements previously laid out).
Returning students may also wish to purchase such branded items to be worn with grey bottoms as previously outlined.
Branded uniform is available to purchase on our online shop -

Extra Clothing
We do request that a set of fully labelled spare clothes are left in your child’s bag or their onsite box in the event of accidents / spillages.
Bags/Backpacks
Please ensure your child’s bag is of sufficient capacity to carry essential items but of reasonable enough size that they are able to carry it comfortably themselves. An example of what children will be expected to carry in their bags are:
• A change of clothes
• Lunch (this may include a hot flask in colder months) and water
• A light jacket (for warmer months) / a coat (for colder months)
• Sun-cream and a hat (as appropriate)
• Waterproofs for outside play (as appropriate)
Be prepared for backpacks to get dirty! You may wish to have an ‘onsite’ and ‘offsite’ bag if your child will be attending a forest day or adventure day with Edventure Kids.
Labelling
We cannot stress the importance of labelling all items belonging to your child, including clothes, shoes, slippers, bags, lunch boxes, water bottles, everything!
If they are not labelled, there is the possibility of items being misplaced or lost. We recommend these stickers which are hardy, waterproof and suitable for all types of material.
We would appreciate you ordering labels through the company, My Name Tags, via this specific URL which helps to raise funds for special equipment and events:
